Hallo ihr lieben,
ich bin bei meiner Recherche auf dieses Paper gestoßen von J. van Doorn und P.C. Verhoef. Sie benutzen ein interessantes Modell zur Untersuchung der Auswirkung eines Organic Claims auf z.b. die Qualitätswahrnehmung. Folgend sieht man die Gleichungen für ihre Schätzungen und da ist mir die Manipulationsvariable aufgefallen (Vice manipulation: x1*vice, x2*vice, x3*vice).

quality = α1 + χ1⋅vice + β1virtue⋅organic⋅virtue+ β1vice⋅organic⋅vice + ε1
healthfulness = α2+ χ2⋅vice + β2virtue⋅organic⋅virtue+ β2vice⋅organic⋅vice + ε2
prosocial = α3+ χ3⋅vice + β3virtue⋅organic⋅virtue+ β3vice⋅organic⋅vice + ε3
where
quality quality perceptions;
healthfulness health perceptions;
prosocial prosocial product benefits;
organic dummy variable, taking the value of 1 if product is organic
and 0 if otherwise;
virtue dummy variable, taking the value of 1 for the virtue
manipulation and 0 if otherwise; and
vice dummy variable, taking the value of 1 for the vice
manipulation and 0 otherwise.

Da ja auch die anderen Dummy Variablen 0 und 1 kodiert sind, verstehe ich nicht, warum man eine Manipulationsvariable einfügt, die auch 0 und 1 kodiert ist. Könnte mir jemand von euch erklären, warum man so eine Variable einbaut? Und wie das ganze in einem Datensatz aussehen würde?
